Majestic Woods Swissies
Gregory and Donna Rollins are the lovely human beings behind Majestic Woods Swissies, a business they started after they fell in love with their very first Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, a family pet turned award-winning show dog named Bosco, and decided to start breeding.
For Gregory and Donna, breeding is about raising healthy, well-socialized, and well-trained puppies and pairing them with families that are a perfect match for their needs and personalities. They’re an AKC Breeder of Merit and do everything they can to do right by the puppies and their paw-rents. And when I say “everything,” I’m including the amazing puppy playground and enrichment activities that Gregory personally built.
When they came to me, it was because they were hoping for more visibility. They had a robust presence on social media, but needed a website that would do more to connect them with prospective adopters. They also wanted to share news and updates, offer breed-specific training and socialization resources, and include an adoption application and contract.
Done, done, and done.

The web design process
Donna and Gregory were ready to go with almost everything I needed. They had a professionally designed logo and a simple black, white, and red color palette. They had a bajillion photos of gorgeous dogs and adorable puppies. And they had already compiled the resources, contract, and application that they wanted to include on the site.
They didn’t have wording, though, and that proved to be the most time-consuming item on their homework list. They knew what they wanted to say and had my tips and tricks for writing content that Google would appreciate. But they also had a second, full-time business and a new litter of puppies to take care of. I was happy to adjust their project’s timeline to help them keep the grey hair to a minimum while they worked to gather content. They chipped away when they could, and we communicated frequently so I could make sure their questions were answered along the way.
They did a fantastic job compiling everything, and I had a blast building their new website.
The new website leverages their bold brand to its fullest. I added some irresistible paw-print backgrounds to add a lil touch of adorable to the site. But otherwise, I kept the design simple and clean, letting the photos speak for themselves. I added clear calls-to-action to help visitors find the puppy adoption application and contract, as well as breed-specific socialization and training resources.
The website also includes lil dollop of CSS code that adds drop shadows, some animation effects, button hover effects, and a few other bells-and-whistles.
