Jamestown Web Design
I grew up in Frewsburg and lived and worked in Jamestown for years. I love returning to my roots and building websites for small businesses and nonprofits in Jamestown and throughout Chautauqua County!
Working with Kristen to develop our website was one of the best experiences I have had. She is extremely knowledgeable, has a great sense of design, and the finished product is amazing!

Getting a new website should be enjoyable. Not intimidating.
You’ve been afraid of paying an expert to design your website because you think it’ll be crazy expensive. Or you’ll have to pay them to update every little thing. Or they’ll take you for a ride because you don’t know the technical stuff. I hear you and I’ve got you. Get your new website in three simple steps.
Step 1
Choose your web design package
We’ll start our project with one of the website packages listed below. Not sure which one is right for you? We’ll talk through it during our strategy call. I’ll make sure you’re paying for only what you need—and nothing else.
-
A custom-built website that punches above its weight
My Package: Small but Mighty
A handcrafted, built-from-scratch website that matches your brand and spotlights your talent and services. Includes as many pages as you need and any bells and whistles that your heart desires.
Custom quotes starting at $2,800
-
An e-commerce website for monetizing your talent
My Package: It’s Escalating Quickly
Small But Mighty plus an online store so you can sell items, services, subscriptions, and content. Easily manage back-end stuff like inventory, shipping, sales tax, discounts, and more.
Custom pricing starting at $3,800
Step 2
Add bells and whistles
Bells and whistles turn a good website into a great website. Sky’s the limit, darling.
-

Client Outreach
Reach out to your clients with elements like an email address that matches your domain name and a mass email newsletter.
-

Offer Content
Show off your talent with elements like a blog, an events calendar, a video library, a podcast, and a portfolio of work.
-

Sell Stuff
Monetize your expertise with e-commerce, online courses, memberships, appointment scheduling, and content paywalls.
-

Connect Services
Connect your site to third-party services like HIPAA compliant portals, donor CRMs, event ticketing, reservations, and more.
Step 3
Let’s build your new website
I’ll send you a no-pressure quote and we’ll get started with your approval. You’ll gather content and let me know when everything’s ready. Sit back and relax while I build you something pretty. Two rounds of edits will make it perfect. And then I’ll tie it up with a bow and launch your website to the world!
Website projects have lots of moving parts
I’ll sweat the details so you don’t have to.
Every website project includes:
A domain name that matches your brand. We can use the one you have or I can help you get one. Or several.
SEO best practices so your shiny new website gets found. I’m pretty darn good at this one—I appear on Page 1 for each of my selected search phrases!
AIO best practices so our Robot Overlords can pull your new website into the AI summary at the top of search results.
Photo optimization for fast performance. There will not be grass growing under our feet, darling.
Mobile-friendly design so your website is functional and pretty everywhere. Because it has to be pretty.
Social media profile listings so your customers can find you.
Custom contact forms so your customers can reach out.
Legal policies to keep the lawyers happy.
Breadcrumbs so visitors to your old site don’t get lost.
A custom video tutorial so you can manage your new website.
Two weeks of post-launch email support. I’ve got you!
Optional updates retainer for help going forward. It’s monthly so you’re not locked in to anything. Keep it, cancel it, or restart it whenever you want.

Frequently Asked Questions
And answers. Because it would be really weird if I just listed the questions.
-
I work on Squarespace. I’ve had clients try WordPress, Shopify, WIX, GoDaddy, and Weebly and come to me in tears because they can’t do stuff to their own website.
By contrast, Squarespace is a no-muss, no-fuss web design platform that enables my clients to easily update their website without knowing how to code. Squarespace requires zero technical updates. It just works. I use it myself and love it.
-
I’ve got you. I’ll connect you with my dream team of talented woman creatives who can help you with graphic design and photography. My clients rave about them! We’ll make sure your experience is seamless.
-
I’ve got you! Your project will include a custom wording outline so you can brain dump and let me know what you’d like your website to say.
Need more help? I started my career as a professional writer. Let me know if you’d like my help and we’ll talk about it during your strategy call. As a heads up, my writing add-on starts at $500.
Prefer to hire a different copywriter? I can recommend someone from my network or you can work with whoever your heart desires!
-
I've got you! (It’s a theme.) As part of your project, you can let me know what domain name you’d like. I’ll buy it from Squarespace pending availability. With my sweet developer benefits, it’ll be free for the first year.
-
Yep!! You have some options. I can either transfer it to Squarespace to keep things all on one platform for you, or I can leave it right where it is and simply plug it into your website. Totally up to you!
-
Nope. AI can’t correctly identify my dog, so I would never tell you to trust it with your website. Besides, AI-generated content isn’t of quality and it won’t align with your brand and voice. If you need help writing the wording for your website, just let me know!
-
Good search engine rankings depend heavily on the wording that you provide for your website. Need help with crafting the wording? Just let me know.
Anyways, I’ve got 20+ years of award-winning marketing experience, so SEO is second nature. Just Google “Buffalo web design” and see where I show up. I’ll do my best to adjust your wording so that our friends at Google are happy!
-
Like SEO, AI Optimization (AIO) depends heavily on the wording that you provide for your website. Need help with crafting the wording? Just let me know.
I’ll do my best to adjust the wording you provide so that our AI Robot Overlords are happy to quote your site in their search summaries.
-
Yep! At minimum, you’ll need to pay for a website plan with Squarespace and buy a domain (or keep paying for the one you have).
You’ll incur additional costs based on the bells and whistles that you’d like. And for an online store, you’ll pay stuff like credit card transaction fees and the like.
To help you keep your piggy bank in one piece, I’ll float you my sweet developer discounts.
-
With any desired bells and whistles, my clients pay an average of $3,500 for a business website. Clients generally pay an average of $5,000 for an e-commerce website with their desired bells and whistles.
-
Nope! But your investment will be broken up into three payments so your piggy bank stays in one piece.
-
I work as quickly as you do. Smooth projects for hyper-organized clients take about six weeks from start to finish.
You can take the girl out of Chautauqua County…
But you can’t take Chautauqua County out of the girl. I’m pretty sure that’s how the saying goes.
My roots are in Frewsburg, where my family still lives. The Willis C. Hale Memorial Park off of Frew Run Road was originally named for my great-uncle Willie. (Yes, I had a great-uncle Willie. Doesn’t everybody?) Three generations of my family have graduated from Frewsburg High School, where my sister and brother-in-law now work.
I attended Jamestown Community College and had the pleasure of returning to work at the JCC Foundation. In a past life, I covered local politics for The Post-Journal. Along the way, I was a Board member for Infinity Visual & Performing Arts and facilitated the creation of a new brand for the Audubon Community Nature Center.
Working with Kristen was a great experience! I always felt like I was informed and in control of what was happening, what my options were, and how my website would turn out. She was very patient and never made me feel like my website wasn't a priority or didn't fit in to her schedule. Her constant professionalism, positive attitude, and down-to-earth vibe made the process easy, approachable, and painless. Highly recommend!
