Jaclyn Wilkinson
Jaclyn Wilkinson is the CEO of Fantastic Sitters, a company she launched to connect families with experienced babysitters and nannies.
When I first met Jaclyn, her mission was music to my ears. Much has been written about how America’s childcare crisis impacts women by keeping them out of the workforce, reducing their earnings potential, and holding them back in their careers. Jaclyn’s business will have a real impact. I love it!
Jaclyn came to me ready to launch her business and her website. She needed a website that would showcase her expertise and trustworthiness, make it easy for families to find the childcare they need, and connect experienced caregivers with job opportunities. Done, done, and done.
What a pleasure it was to give Jaclyn the website she deserves!
Kind words
“Kristen designed and built the website for my small business. From start to finish, the entire process and results were better than I could have imagined. She was there with answers to my questions, and supportive words of encouragement, every step of the way. Not only is Kristen an amazing web designer, but she's an awesome person to work with. I can't recommend her enough!”

The web design process
You know those dream clients who are incredibly organized and communicate with you every step of the way? That’s Jaclyn to a T. I was head-over-heels in love!
Jaclyn had a logo, a color palette, and a font palette. It features a bright, vibrant fuschia and a gorgeous robin’s egg blue. Together, the colors make her brand feel fun, approachable, and trustworthy.
We used stock imagery for Jaclyn’s site, and she selected photos that pair beautifully with the wording she provided. If I had to pick one thing I love the most about the photos that she selected, I’d say their composition. It’s really easy to choose a stock image because the image itself is beautiful—but completely forget to consider whether it “goes with” your brand. That can mean considering things like the colors in a photo, how bright or saturated those colors are, and the people or objects included. Jaclyn nailed it.
Jaclyn’s new website is vibrant and bright, but has an authoritative air to it that I believe will make families feel comfortable with choosing Fantastic Sitters.
Along the way, I created a suite of icons in all of her brand colors so she could mix-and-match. Her site also includes a good dollop of CSS code that adds button hover effects and shadows to her site.
