Heather Bellini Photography
Heather Bellini is Buffalo’s most well-known, trusted professional photographer and a badass woman business owner who I adore. From corporate headshots to events, weddings, engagements, family photos, and more, she’s photographed thousands of people across the region.
But her old WordPress website was outdated, off-brand, and there was no-one to maintain it. It definitely didn’t do justice to her business!
I migrated her website to Squarespace so she could take ownership of her site—without knowing how to code. I gave it a fresh, airy design; subtle animations; and full-screen slideshows to help her show off her best work. The design includes custom contact forms so Heather can connect to prospective clients, connections to her SmugMug galleries so clients can easily order prints, and clear calls-to-action to help visitors find the services they need.
It was a pleasure to give her the web presence she deserves!

The Before
Maria’s old website made it difficult for prospective clients to find what they needed. Each of the photos on the home page is actually a button, but there was no way for prospective clients to know that they were clickable—or to have a sense of the information they’d have access to once they clicked. Definitely not ideal!
A fresh web design
I knew Squarespace would be perfect for Heather’s website. She has a bit of experience with website maintenance, and I knew she’d feel comfortable adding pages, images, text, buttons, and more. I added a bit of custom code that created scrolling logo carousels to showcase her expertise and immediately demonstrate social proof to prospective clients. Because she’s a photographer whose work is her livelihood, I also disabled right-click functionality on her site so that quality images of her photographs couldn’t be stolen and used without her consent.
With just one training session, Heather and her staff were off to the races. They’ve already made updates to the site and even added a Squarespace Scheduling plan to help them connect with clients!
