The WNY Black Wellness Directory is a new website spearheaded by a Buffalo-based group of community-minded mental health and wellness experts. This was a project born from the ashes of two tragic events and profound community trauma. This website helps meet the clear and urgent need for culturally responsive mental health resources and community healing.

Seneca Street Community Development Corporation is a nonprofit doing important work in Seneca Babcock—one of Buffalo’s poorest neighborhoods and one that’s classified as having food scarcity. They wanted a new website to connect parents, volunteers, and donors to the organization and its work. Done and done. What a pleasure to give them the web presence they deserve!

Pinnacle Community Services is a private, non-profit, trauma informed family service agency that has been at work in the Niagara County community since 1895. Pinnacle’s website needed a total overhaul to make it easier for people in need to find services and resources—most crucially the 24/7 crisis support hotlines that Pinnacle offers. What a pleasure it was to give Pinnacle the website they deserve!

One of my favorite things about building websites for non-profits is that I get to give them a platform that amplifies their important work and that helps them do good for even more people. Imagine my delight, then, when I got to build a website for a non-profit that works to help other non-profits!

The fantastic folks at Jamestown Community Learning Council were one of my earliest web design clients, and I’ve had the pleasure of working with them for almost five years now. When they reached out to me wondering if I could redesign the site I had created for them all those years ago, we found ourselves with a golden opportunity to move the JCLC website to Squarespace, streamline it, and save them some money along the way. Gold.

The Anne Frank Project, a program of SUNY Buffalo State University, uses the power of stories as vehicles for community building, conflict management, and identity exploration. Inspired by the wisdom of Anne Frank, AFP surfaces, develops, and shares stories stifled by oppression. What an honor when they asked if I could help them reimagine their website!

The Capacity Lab is a nonprofit, collective-impact initiative that works to strengthen nonprofit leaders and organizations throughout Chautauqua County. I’m a Chautauqua County native and still have family there. To be even a small part of helping local nonprofits grow their capacity, serve more people, and do more good is GOLD.

For over 55 years, the Lutheran Home at Kane has provided a wide range of services to help folks age with dignity. They offer independent living cottages, assisted living, skilled nursing care, and more—all on one campus. In Summer 2023, they kicked off a $2 million capital campaign. What a pleasure it was to give them the web presence they deserve!

WNY Postpartum Connection is a nonprofit that provides a free directory of local mental health and support services for those who are pregnant or postpartum. They believe that postpartum mental health concerns are very common and very treatable and no parent should suffer in silence simply because of a lack of resources. Cold Spring Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose goal is to end hunger—one plate at a time. Through their Plate of Love program, they feed the less fortunate members of the community, sustained by committed volunteers and financial support of generous donors. What a pleasure it was to give them the web presence they deserve!

The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation is a philanthropic leader in Chautauqua County, NY. Their work goes beyond simply processing donations, making grants and awarding scholarships. They are deeply committed to creating a vibrant region where every resident feels connected and has the opportunity to thrive.

Founded in 1883, the Chautauqua County Historical Society is one of the oldest historical organizations in western New York. I was born in Chautauqua County, and it has an incredibly rich history. I knew I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to give them a modern website that would showcase their important work.

The Champion Project is a nonprofit in West Seneca, New York that works to give all kids access to low cost, high quality sports programming. They strive to eliminate barriers to participation and help kids build character through sport. Their web presence was a crowded page on someone else’s website. They needed a website of their own, and I was proud to give it to them!

The Ralph C. Sheldon Foundation is one of the largest foundations in Chautauqua County, New York. Founded in 1948, the Foundation gave away just $300 in its first year. Today, they grant between $1.7 and $2.2 million every year and have awarded more than $59 million to advance the physical, educational, and cultural well-being of the people in southern Chautauqua County.
This one was near and dear to my heart! I grew up in Chautauqua County and worked at organizations there for several years. It was such a pleasure to work with them and give them the web presence they deserve!

Jamestown Community Learning Council is an award-winning nonprofit that helps young children throughout Chautauqua County, NY become better learners by making home visits and working with them, their parents, and their schools. When they lost their website thanks to someone else’s server switcheroo, I was happy to make sure they got the web presence they deserved.

Since 1906, the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce has been the leading business organization in the greater Olean area.
But the organization’s website didn’t match its stature. An outdated design was the least of its problems. The site was difficult to navigate and even harder for the Chamber’s small team to update. Worse, the site wasn’t mobile-responsive, a deficiency that not only reduced its visibility on search engines but made it difficult for visitors to find the information they needed while on-the-go. I made sure they got the presence they deserved.
