One of my favorite things about building websites for non-profits is that I get to give them a platform that amplifies their important work and that helps them do good for even more people. Imagine my delight, then, when I got to build a website for a non-profit that works to help other non-profits!

The fantastic folks at Jamestown Community Learning Council were one of my earliest web design clients, and I’ve had the pleasure of working with them for almost five years now. When they reached out to me wondering if I could redesign the site I had created for them all those years ago, we found ourselves with a golden opportunity to move the JCLC website to Squarespace, streamline it, and save them some money along the way. Gold.

The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation is a philanthropic leader in Chautauqua County, NY. Their work goes beyond simply processing donations, making grants and awarding scholarships. They are deeply committed to creating a vibrant region where every resident feels connected and has the opportunity to thrive.

Cynde Johnson is the artist behind Cynde B Photography, based in Jamestown, NY. She provides wedding, engagement, headshot, and family photography. When Cynde came to me, it was because she felt it was time to move her web presence from SmugMug to something a little more modern. Done and done. What a pleasure it was to give her the web presence she deserves!

Ann Abdella is the mastermind behind A2 Associates and someone I’m proud to count as a friend. When Ann came to me, it was after she’d begun working with a different developer whose prototype didn’t match her brand’s look and feel or convey her more than 30 years of expertise in a brand-aligned way. What a pleasure it was to give her the web presence she deserves!

The Ralph C. Sheldon Foundation is one of the largest foundations in Chautauqua County, New York. Founded in 1948, the Foundation gave away just $300 in its first year. Today, they grant between $1.7 and $2.2 million every year and have awarded more than $59 million to advance the physical, educational, and cultural well-being of the people in southern Chautauqua County.
This one was near and dear to my heart! I grew up in Chautauqua County and worked at organizations there for several years. It was such a pleasure to work with them and give them the web presence they deserve!

Jamestown Community Learning Council is an award-winning nonprofit that helps young children throughout Chautauqua County, NY become better learners by making home visits and working with them, their parents, and their schools. When they lost their website thanks to someone else’s server switcheroo, I was happy to make sure they got the web presence they deserved.
