The WNY Black Wellness Directory is a new website spearheaded by a Buffalo-based group of community-minded mental health and wellness experts. This was a project born from the ashes of two tragic events and profound community trauma. This website helps meet the clear and urgent need for culturally responsive mental health resources and community healing.

Seneca Street Community Development Corporation is a nonprofit doing important work in Seneca Babcock—one of Buffalo’s poorest neighborhoods and one that’s classified as having food scarcity. They wanted a new website to connect parents, volunteers, and donors to the organization and its work. Done and done. What a pleasure to give them the web presence they deserve!

Pinnacle Community Services is a private, non-profit, trauma informed family service agency that has been at work in the Niagara County community since 1895. Pinnacle’s website needed a total overhaul to make it easier for people in need to find services and resources—most crucially the 24/7 crisis support hotlines that Pinnacle offers. What a pleasure it was to give Pinnacle the website they deserve!

Rebekah Chriss is the talent behind AuraAthletic Fit, a platform for empowering women and girls in sports, advocating for equal access, and helping them feel confident and unstoppable. She needed an online presence in order to become a vendor with big-name apparel companies and tell athletes and their parents about her business and its mission. Done and done. I absolutely love giving women business owners the website they deserve!

One of my favorite things about building websites for non-profits is that I get to give them a platform that amplifies their important work and that helps them do good for even more people. Imagine my delight, then, when I got to build a website for a non-profit that works to help other non-profits!

The fantastic folks at Jamestown Community Learning Council were one of my earliest web design clients, and I’ve had the pleasure of working with them for almost five years now. When they reached out to me wondering if I could redesign the site I had created for them all those years ago, we found ourselves with a golden opportunity to move the JCLC website to Squarespace, streamline it, and save them some money along the way. Gold.

Gregory and Donna Rollins are the lovely human beings behind Majestic Woods Swissies. When they came to me, it was because they needed a website that would do more to connect them with prospective adopters. They also wanted to share news and updates, offer breed-specific training and socialization resources, and include an adoption application and contract. Done, done, and done.

Katie Gardiner is an HR whiz and a small business owner herself, so she’s the perfect person to help small- and medium-sized businesses manage HR issues. But her original website didn’t make it easy for prospective clients to find her. Luckily, she found me!

Like so many of my clients, Janice started the web design process with only a few pieces of the puzzle. She had created her own logo, but she didn’t have a formal brand. The Capacity Lab is a nonprofit, collective-impact initiative that works to strengthen nonprofit leaders and organizations throughout Chautauqua County. I’m a Chautauqua County native and still have family there. To be even a small part of helping local nonprofits grow their capacity, serve more people, and do more good is GOLD.

For over 55 years, the Lutheran Home at Kane has provided a wide range of services to help folks age with dignity. They offer independent living cottages, assisted living, skilled nursing care, and more—all on one campus. In Summer 2023, they kicked off a $2 million capital campaign.
